Kirsten Coppoolse discovered blockchain by accident. After studying art history at the University of Amsterdam and working in art in various roles, she went back to the UvA for a master’s in religious studies, with the aim of finding a way in which she could contribute to creating a better world.
Kirsten found what she was looking for while working on a project for improving digital human rights: blockchain technology. She immediately completely immersed herself in the Dutch blockchain scene, founded a meetup and started working in a blockchain start-up.
However, for Kirsten blockchain is a tool, not a goal. Her drive to use blockchain for good led her to The Fork. In her position as COO of The Fork Kirsten aims to achieve global food integrity by using blockchain technology.
